玩家們就扮演這些登門拜訪者，通過給官員送禮來獲得權力，所以遊戲中你送出去的禮品的價格一定是低於你收到的錢，所以你的每個行動都要小心謹慎。
你會遊歷中國，從大運河沿河而下，購買貴重的翡翠，幫助建造長城、通過法令來守住自己的既得利益，遊戲過程中會充滿陰謀，終的目標是覲見隆慶皇帝。
